Gwen Molnar's Poetic "Bows"
Gwen's childhood, which she recalls in idyllic terms, was filled with songs and poems, many of which she can conjure up at will, even to this day. In the spirit of that childhood memory, Gwen daily crafts a poem, which she calls a "bow," on any subject that comes to mind. As of January 2017, she has written some 600 of them.
From time to time this space will publish a rotating selection of her bows.
(Calling these daily exercises bows is a reference to the practice of stringed-instrument makers who, at the start of each new day's work, assess their skill and control by creating a bow, and then move on to the more demanding task of working on the instrument itself.)
